No. 4 Cedarville Draws No. 5 Quincy in NCAA Championship Midwest Regional

GREENWOOD, Ind.
– Cedarville cashed in on the Great Midwest Athletic Conference’s first at-large selection to the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship on Monday.
 
Monday evening’s selection show revealed all six teams in the NCAA Championship Midwest Region and the entire field of 38 at-large selections on the men's side.
 
The fourth-seeded Yellow Jackets (14-3-2) will be facing fifth-seeded Quincy (12-6-2) from the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. EST.
 
Thursday's NCAA Championship game will be played on the campus of Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo.
 
The winner between Cedarville/Quincy will advance to a Saturday date at 1 p.m. against top seed and regional site host Rockhurst.
 
Cedarville is coming off a G-MAC Championship run with wins in the semifinals against No. 4 Ohio Valley and advancement in a shootout vs. No. 2 Alderson Broaddus in the final.

The Yellow Jackets are anchored offensively by two-time G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year Connor Gilmour (2014, 2015).

Two to six teams were selected from each of the eight regions. Teams from the same region will be paired for first- and/or second-round competition, which will be conducted November 12-15 on campus sites.
 
Third-round/quarterfinals will be held on campus sites and completed by November 22. The semifinals and final will be played December 3 and 5 at Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Fla.
