GREENWOOD, Ind. – Cedarville junior middle blocker Rachel Krikke was named the fifth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday. 

Krikke is the second straight Yellow Jacket to receive conference weekly honors after junior teammate Abby Shelton was selected last week.
 
Cedarville enjoyed an undefeated week at 3-0 while scoring two more conference wins against Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene along with a key regional win versus Southern Indiana.
 
Krikke averaged 3.27 kills per set and hit an impressive .500 on 68 attack attempts. She also averaged just under one block per set in 11 frames played.
 
Against a Southern Indiana squad that had only lost to Wayne State (Neb.) and Rockhurst) prior to facing Cedarville, Krikke delivered 15 kills on 25 swings (.560) as the Yellow Jackets prevailed in four sets.
 
In a straight-set sweep against KWC, the junior came through against with eight kills (no errors) to help beat the Panthers. Against Trevecca Nazarene, she was nearly unstoppable up front again, this time hammering home 13 kills on 22 attempts for a gaudy .545 percentage.
 
Cedarville continues to run the table in the conference at 4-0 while upping its overall record to 9-8 this fall.
