2015 G-MAC Men's Soccer Championship Bracket (PDF)
GREENWOOD, Ind. - Six teams are vying for new postseason hardware as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship bracket was officially released Tuesday night.
A trail to the new 2015 G-MAC Championship will need to be blazed through Cedarville after the Yellow Jackets clinched another regular-season title with a thrilling win late in regulation against Salem International.
Cedarville ultimately secured home-field advantage and the No. 1 seed for one of two first-round byes. Also enjoying an idle quarterfinal round to begin the postseason is No. 2 seed Alderson Broaddus.
Both Cedarville and Alderson Broaddus appeared in the first NCAA Midwest Region Rankings at No. 4 and No. 7, respectively.
Additional qualification for the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship will result from at-large selections in respective regional rankings throughout the country.
G-MAC Championship quarterfinal action set for Saturday in West Virginia include matchups between the No. 3/4 and No. 4/5 seeds on the campuses of Ohio Valley and Salem International.
The early tilt will feature No. 4 Ohio Valley against No. 5 Trevecca Nazarene with a noon start time.
The OVU/TNU winner advances to the semifinals to face Cedarville on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. EST.
Salem International earned the No. 3 seed and is set to square off against No. 6 Davis & Elkins later in the afternoon at 2 p.m. EST.
The SIU/D&E winner advances to the semifinals in Cedarville to face Alderson Broaddus on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m.
The championship final will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 7, with a 1 p.m. EST start time scheduled.
