Alderson Broaddus, Cedarville Appear in First NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference had two institutions, Cedarville and Alderson Broaddus, make their way into the first NCAA Men’s Soccer Regional Rankings as announced on Wednesday.
 
Cedarville is positioned at No. 4 while Alderson Broaddus is No. 7 in the Midwest Region.
 
The conference-leading Yellow Jackets are 11-3-1 overall and 8-2 in the G-MAC schedule. The Battlers of AB are currently 8-5-1 overall and 5-4-0 in league play.
 
Teams from the G-MAC, Great Lakes Valley Conference and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, are considered for the Midwest Region rankings.
 
Rockhurst (GLVC) leads the Midwest Region with the top ranking while Saginaw Valley State (GLIAC) and Northwood (GLIAC) are second and third, respectively.
 
After Cedarville at No. 4, Bellarmine (GLVC) and Quincy (GLVC) follow before AB and No. 8 Indy round out the top eight teams.
 
The NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship does not have an automatic qualifier for the winner of conference tournaments.
 
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.
