G-MAC Finishes Competition in Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover Tournament

AURORA, Ill. – Cedarville, Kentucky Wesleyan, Ohio Valley and Ursuline, each played three matches at the Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament held Friday at Saturday at the Great Lakes Center.
 
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference had four teams put together a combined 2-8 record while competing against Midwest Region counterparts from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
 
The atmosphere was buzzing with volleyball enthuisasts, parents and fans gathering, as 54 matches were played across eight courts in two days.
 
Kentucky Wesleyan brought home both of the league’s wins, beating Lake Superior State (GLIAC) and Lake Erie (GLIAC).
 
Cedarville faced Missouri S&T (GLVC), No. 8 Rockhurst (GLVC) and Drury (GLVC). Ursuline matched up against William Jewell (GLVC), Maryville (GLVC) and Missouri-St. Louis (GLVC).
 
Ohio Valley competed against Saginaw Valley State (GLIAC), No. 3 Ferris State (GLIAC) and Michigan Tech (GLIAC). KWC also played against Ohio Dominican (GLIAC).
 
The G-MAC had two members on the 14-member all-tournament team, Kentucky Wesleyan’s Sarah Swenson and Cedarville’s Abby Shelton.
