GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene junior Alexa Rippy was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Month for September on Thursday.

The 2015 NCAA individual qualifier and G-MAC Player of the Year continued right where she left off from the spring, contending for medalist status at tournaments hosted by Southern Indiana and Ashland.

Rippy compiled a stroke average of 77.75 in the two events, while recording a pair of top-five individuals.

As a team, the Trojans finished fourth of 13 at the Ashland Invitational and third of 12 in the field at the USI Screaming Eagle Invitational.

Rippy’s best round was a 76 (+4) carded in the first round at the Screaming Eagle Invitational. She also shot a 77 (+5) and a pair of 79’s in the month of September.

The round of 76 represented a tie for the G-MAC’s best this fall as TNU teammate Mikayla Dodson matched.

The Trojans are set to return to the links on the East Coast this weekend at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate in South Carolina.
