GREENWOOD, Ind. - Cedarville’s Kayla Linkous has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks and has earned the honor for the Lady Jackets for the sixth time this season in ten weeks of action.

Kayla Linkous has been named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time in a three week span as she continued to carry her team to a perfect record in conference action. The Lady Jackets improved to 8-0 in G-MAC play with a pair of wins this past week.
Against Ohio Valley, Linkous scored a game-high 20 points in a dominating 80-40 win at home. She was 8-10 from the field including converting on her only long range attempt. She grabbed six rebounds and had an assist in just 25 minutes on the court.
Kayla followed it up with another 20 points performance, leading the way with 21 points on 6-8 shooting, including going 9-9 from the free throw line. She added five rebounds and an assist in only 22 minutes. Combined she scored 41 points on 14-18 (78%) shooting in 47 minutes played. She has now led her team in scoring five of the last six games, averaging 21.3 points per game and shooting 64.2% over that stretch.
On the season, she has climbed into sixth in scoring at 13.2 points per game and third in shooting at 52.3%. She also ranks second in free throw shooting, making 79-95 attempts (83.2%). In G-MAC action, she is fourth with 17.1 points per game and fourth with 8.6 rebounds per game.
