GREENWOOD, Ind. - Kayla Linkous has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the first time this year and continues to add to Cedarville’s dominance on the award this season. Linkous helped Cedarville to a pair of G-MAC victory, helping them remain undefeated in conference and in a four-way tie atop the standings.

Kayla Linkous has been named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, but is now the third Lady Jacket to earn the honor and grabbed the fifth Athlete of the Week honor in eight weeks for Cedarville this season.
 
Linkous helped guide the Lady Jackets to another perfect week in which they improved to 13-2 and 4-0 in conference play with wins over Davis and Elkins and Alderson Broaddus on the road. On the week she averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds over the two wins.
 
Against Davis and Elkins she scored a game-high 20 points and also led the way with nine rebounds. She then recorded a double-double a few nights later, scoring 18 and grabbing 10 boards against the Battlers. The Lady Jackets won the two games by an average of 38 points.
 
On the season, Linkous is now scoring 10.7 points per game, ranking her 16th in the league and second on her team. She came into the week averaging only 3.6 rebounds and her 19 rebounds quickly raised it to 4.9 a game.
