Zachary Harris has been named the G-MAC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for following the opening weekend of the college soccer schedule around the nation. The Yellow Jackets began the year with a 4-0 win at home against Saint Joseph’s College (GLVC). The team then had a tough set back, losing on the road to Saginaw Valley State (GLIAC) in double overtime, 1-0, the goal coming with less than three minutes to play in the game.

In the opening game of the season, Harris scored a pair of goals including the team’s first goal of the season on a header from Connor Scott. Harris also capped the scoring in the second half with a shot from 20 yards out, coming off a restart.

Only a couple games into the season, his two goals lead the way for the league and also leads the conference in points with four.
