GREENWOOD, Ind. - Caitlin Cain of Alderson Broaddus University was named the G-MAC Volleyball Player of the Week after helping guide the Battlers in their conference-opening triumph against Davis & Elkins College.
 
The junior outside hitter stuffed the stat sheet against the Senators with 10 kills, eight service aces, six digs and three assists. She attacked with precision to the tune of a .476 hitting percentage and was efficient with just 21 swings.
 
ABU swept Davis & Elkins in straight sets on the road in the lone G-MAC match played out so far this season. The Battlers collected their third win as a team.
 
This season, Cain is tied for the team lead in total kills (106) with Megan Christmann. She is averaging a team-best 2.79 kills per set and has racked up a total of 22 service aces, a G-MAC leading cumulative total.
