Paige Rowan has been named the conferences Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. This is fourth time in her career she has earned the weekly award. The Arrows secured a pair of wins behind the efforts of Rowan, improving to 3-1 on the season with wins over West Liberty (Mountain East) and Walsh (GLIAC).

In a pair of mid-week games, Rowan scored an unassisted goal in a 3-0 win over West Liberty, and then scored both goals against Walsh in a tight 2-1 victory at home. Her first score came on a header off a pass from Vanessa Consiglio. After Walsh tied the game, it took just three minutes and one second for Rowan to score the game winner.

Walsh had defeated Ursuline in each of the first eight meetings in the series, but over the past three seasons, UC is now 2-0-1 against Walsh – the alma mater of Arrows head coach Jason Kubbins. Rowan has now scored a goal in each of the teams four games this season, leading the conference with five goals and ten points.
