INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Katelyn Norton (INF) and Amber LaBille (P) of Davis & Elkins College the Softball Offensive and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Katelyn Norton has been named the Softball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. The junior infielder played the vital role in D&E winning all four of its games this past week.
Norton led the conference in almost every offensive category this past week, and the ones she didn’t she ranked right behind a familiar face - her sister Danielle Norton.
Katelyn led the way with a .667 batting average, a 1.250 slugging percentage, and a .714 on-base percentage. She scored five times, recorded eight hits, and had a league best 10 runs batted in over four games. She also hit two home runs to total 15 total bases.

Softball Pitcher of the Week
Amber LaBille

Amber LaBille has been named G-MAC Softball Pitcher Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after a solid week in the pitching circle for the Senators. D&E went 4-0 on the week and LaBille earned two of the wins, pitching a league best 12 innings and striking out a G-MAC-high 15 batters.
In her first appearance, she went five innings allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out 11 batters and allowing just one walk. She earned the win over Southern Virginia. In her next outing a few days later, she went a complete game - throwing seven innings. LaBille allowed just one run on six hits. She struck out four and didn’t walk a batter in her win over West Virginia Tech.
The Senators are 8-2 in their last ten games after starting off the season 0-13.
