Trevecca’s Baugher Secures G-MAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca junior guard Paige Baugher was tabbed the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week following the team’s impressive three-game stretch in recent history.
 
The Trojans toppled Alabama-Huntsville, Salem International and Ohio Valley, last week as the Mt. Juliet, Tenn., native produced consistent numbers across the board.
 
Baugher averaged 14 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game, while shooting 52 percent (13-of-25) from the field.
 
The Trojans jumped out to a share of the G-MAC lead in the standings with a 2-0 start. Trevecca beat Alabama-Huntsville for the second time this season as Baugher played an integral in the Monday-night victory.
 
Baugher scored 16 points, dished out eight assists, hauled in five boards and had four steals, in 31 minutes of court time. In TU’s G-MAC opener on the road at Salem International, she finished 5-of-7 from the field for 15 points and knocked down five free throws.
 
On Saturday against Ohio Valley, Baugher was 4-of-8 from the floor and contributed 11 points. She also connected on four three-point field goals during the week.
 
This season, Baugher is averaging 11.2 points per game -- second on the team. She has started in five of the six games she has played this year.
