Raegan Ryan has been named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, through three weeks of action. This past week, the Lady Jackets had only one game over the Thanksgiving break, topping Ferris State at home in overtime.
Ryan, who continues to lead the league in scoring, scored a game-high 22 points in the victory. She added a game-high five assists and a team-high three steals in the win. Most impressive about her performance against Ferris State, who had previously posted wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene, was that she scored all 12 of her teams points in overtime.
The senior guard hit back-to-back three pointers to start the overtime and then closed out the win at the free throw line going 6-for-6. In the game, she was 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.
Ryan is scoring 19.5 points per game and shooting 51.9% from long range to lead the G-MAC, while ranking second with 25 total assists and a 1.3 assist to turnover ratio. She is also second in the conference with 20 steals (3.3 per game), in a tie just one steal behind the leader, Samantha Aikens of Salem International.
