CEDARVILLE at KENTUCKY WESLEYAN - Panthers advanced 3-1
[Box Score]
In Owensboro, the Panthers faced a rematch of their regular-season finale against Cedarville. Early in the season, KWC defeated the Lady Jackets on the road, 2-1, but just a week ago, Cedarville captured a 2-0 win in Kentucky.
The Panthers scored first on Saturday as Paige Kramer scored her fifth of the season, beating three defenders just 3:26 into the game. Cedarville answered in the 39th minute on goal by Grace Miorelli, which was assisted on by Kait Stiles.
The eventual game winner was scored in the 60th minute by Lauren Norton on an assist from Annie Elder. Like Kramer, this was Norton’s fifth goal of the season. The Panthers added an insurance goal in the 69th minute as Leslie Chinn put in a header off of a throw-in from Penni Pluimer.
Kentucky Wesleyan will now advance to face the top seed and championship tournament host, Ursuline on Thursday, November 6 at 1:30 p.m. in Pepper Pike, Ohio. During the regular season, the Arrows swept the season series with a 2-0 win in Owensboro and a 1-0 win in Northeast Ohio.

Box Score]
In Elkins, the Battlers came in as an underdog and left with the upset shutout win over Davis & Elkins. During the regular season, the Senators won both meetings against AB by a score of 1-0.
However, on Saturday Olivia Augustine made sure her team earned a spot in the semifinals, scoring both goals on the afternoon. In the first half, Augustine scored just before the half on an assist from Caitlin Forest.
The Battlers defense held strong until the 87th minute when Augustine added an insurance goal on a penalty kick. The stats didn’t show an offensive attack by either team, with AB outshooting D&E 6-4 and each goalkeeper made just one save. Davis and Elkins did hold a big 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Alderson Broaddus will advance to the semifinals and face #2 Trevecca Nazarene at 11:00 a.m. on the campus of Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. During the regular season, Trevecca won the only meeting with AB 2-1 in Nashville.
