GREENWOOD, Ind. - After helping Trevecca University a pair of conference wins, sophomore outside hitter Katelyn Atkinson became the G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Atkinson averaged 3.92 kills and 2.69 digs per set in 13 sets as the Trojans beat Alderson Broaddus University and Cedarville University.
 
Her 22 kills, 15 digs, and pair of blocks, were a big reason Trevecca remained unbeaten in the league with a five-set victory against Cedarville on Saturday. It was the first time since 2003 that Trevecca was able to defeat Cedarville.
 
Atkinson had a pair of double-doubles, including a 16-kill, 13-dig effort against perennial NCAA Championship South Region qualifier Kentucky State in another five-set duration.
 
She currently leads the G-MAC in kills per set this season (3.94).
