LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A total of 31 student-athletes from around the Great Midwest Athletic Conference were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as 2013-14 NCAA Division II All-America Scholar-Athletes.
Kentucky Wesleyan College and Trevecca University were additionally honored as one of the NFCA’s All-Academic Teams after compiling a grade point average of 3.46 and 3.419, respectively, over the past academic year.
From the G-MAC, Kentucky Wesleyan (7), Salem International University (7), Ursuline College (6) and Trevecca (11), all had NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
A total of 4,660 softball players across seven membership divisions earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2013-14 academic year.
NCAA Division II had a total of 692 honorees while 408 different schools scored academic honors across all divisions.
