GREENWOOD, Ind. - Senior outside hitter Hannah Wagner averaged over three kills per set, highlighting a pair of key conference wins for Cedarville University as she collected G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week honors.
The Lady Jackets maintained their strong hold for first place at the top of the G-MAC standings after besting Trevecca University and Kentucky Wesleyan College in weekend action.
From her outside position, the reigning conference player of the year hit .355 and averaged 3.17 kills per set as the Lady Jackets improved to 8-1 in the league standings. She also totaled seven blocks in 12 sets played.
In a non-conference matchup against the University of Indianpolis, Wagner tallied six kills.
She came through in a big way with a dozen kills on just 22 swings as Cedarville swept Trevecca and answered the next day with a 20-kill effort in a five-set comeback thriller against Kentucky Wesleyan.
For the season, she ranks sixth in the G-MAC in attacking percentage (.259).
