INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Christina Curtner of Trevecca Nazarene University the Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the first time this season.

Christina Curtner has been named the G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, and is the first Trojan to earn the honor this season. Curtner helped the Trojans stay on pace with Kentucky Wesleyan for the top spot in the G-MAC with a road victory over Ursuline on Saturday.
Curtner came close to posting a triple-double, scoring 16 points, pulling down nine rebounds and dishing out nine assists. She also added a pair of steals in the victory. Her single-game stats ranked eighth in scoring, fourth in rebounding, leader in assists, and third in three-pointers made in games played last week by G-MAC members.
The win propelled TNU to a current conference-best four-game win streak. The win also kept TNU in a tie for first place in the G-MAC standings with KWC at 7-1.
Curtner, who was G-MAC Athlete of the Week last season during conference play (2/11/13), is third on the team in scoring (10.9), third in rebounding (4.3), and leads the team in assists (4.1). Within the G-MAC she ranks fifth in assists, fourth in assist to turnover ratio, 12th in FT%, and 18th in scoring.
