James Pucci has been named G-MAC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row. The nation’s leader in scoring, scored three more goals and added an assist last week in a pair of wins, including both goals in a 2-1 win over G-MAC opponent Alderson Broaddus. After starting 0-3-1, the Senators have won four straight, led by Pucci’s ten goals in four games.

Against Gannon University, Pucci scored the game’s first goal in the tenth minute of the game, and later assisted on the game-winner in the 59th minute - which was the only goal last week that was scored by D&E that didn’t come from Pucci, even though he still managed a point on the goal.

In conference action against Alderson Broaddus, Pucci scored twice in the first half coming in the second minute and the 40th minute. The two goals proved to be all D&E needed, as they held on to the 2-1 win and improved to 4-3-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference.

Pucci now has 24 points, 11 more than anyone in the conference; and 11 goals, which is more than double anyone in the conference. Updated national statistical rankings will be released on Tuesday and Pucci should remain among the top performers in the nation, if not remaining the top scorer.
