INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Dallas Zimmerman the Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week. Zimmerman, a sophomore middle hitter from Kentucky Wesleyan College, guided her team to a 3-0 week as they improved to 10-2 and extended its win streak to six.

Dallas Zimmerman has been named G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week, the four-straight winner of the weekly honor for Kentucky Wesleyan, and the fourth different winner from KWC. Zimmerman helped lead the Panthers to another perfect week, as they went 3-0 with victories over Kentucky State, Cumberlands (KY), and Brescia.
Zimmerman averaged 4.0 kills per set (tied for league lead last week) over the three matches, despite playing in just one set against Brescia. She hit a conference best .559 totaling 36 kills on 59 attacks and only one error. She totaled 18 kills against Cumberlands and 15 kills against Kentucky State, and three in the only set she played in against Brescia.
Zimmerman continues to lead the G-MAC in hitting percentage with a season percentage of .380 and ranks fourth with 2.79 kills per game. The Panthers improved to 10-2 overall and now have won six-straight as they head into conference action this weekend at the G-MAC Volleyball Crossover.
