INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Bridget Johnson the Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week. Johnson, a junior outside hitter from Kentucky Wesleyan College, guided her team to a 2-0 week as they improved to 7-2 to stay atop the conference standings.

Bridget Johnson has been named G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week, the third-straight winner of the weekly honor for Kentucky Wesleyan, and the third different winner from KWC. Johnson helped lead the Panthers to another perfect week, as they went 2-0 with victories over Bellarmine and Southeast Indiana - both in three games.
Johnson totaled 20 kills, ten in each contest, as well as three service aces and hit .463 over the two matches. She averaged 3.33 kills per set and made just one error in 41 attacks. On the season, she ranks sixth in hitting percentage (.299) in the G-MAC and fourth in kills per set (2.7).
Kentucky Wesleyan currently stands atop the conference with a 7-2 record on the season as the league heads into conference play this upcoming week.
