G-MAC: Zeis is NCCAA's Player of the Year

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The National Christian College Athletic Association released its 2013 All-Americans this weekend and three Trevecca softball players were honored. Cedarville earns three All-Regional.

Senior Breanna Zeis was named the NCCAA's Player of the Year and earned First-Team honors. The G-MAC's Player of the Year, was Co-Player of the Year in the NCCAA Mideast Region, hitting .508 this season and collected a team-high 62 hits, 17 doubles, 12 home runs and 48 RBI.

Joining Zeis was senior Aubrey Jordan and sophomore Lindsey Stephens. Both Jordan and Stephens were NCCAA Second-Team All-Americans. Jordan also made the G-MAC All-Conference team and the NCCAA Mid-East Region team while Stephens was an NCCAA Mid-East Region selection.

Cedarville's Kelsey Wilson, Rachel Bull, Courtnie Spain, and Kelsey Chapman were among those voted to represent the All-Midwest Region team.

Te Lady Trojans took part as a #10 seed in the national NCCAA Tournament, which took place May 9-11, in Botetourt, Virgina. TNU won its opening game against #7 Geneva, but lost to #2 Central Baptist. TNU then lost in the elimination game to #3 seed Simpson, who was upset by the eventual champion, #6 Union.
