INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Lindsey Stephens and Breanna Zeis of Trevecca Nazarene University have been named G-MAC Softball Pitching and Offensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Breanna Zeis has been named Softball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the third-straight week as she continues to guide the Trojans offense. Last week, Zeis helped guide the Trevecca to a doubleheader sweep of Urbana and improved to 6-0 in conference play this season, sweeping doubleheaders from all three G-MAC opponents.
 
Zeis who leads the conference in batting average on the season, raised her average 17 points to .517 after hitting .571 in four games last week. She has eight hits including a double and two more home runs. She drove in five runs, totaled 15 bases.
 
She now leads the conference with her .517 batting average, with the second best average checking in at .465. Her 22 doubles and six home runs each lead the conference as well as her 56 total bases. As TNU has played on 19 games, Zeis’ at-bats are below most of the rest of the conference, but she her 1.58 hits per game lead the league, as do her doubles (.42), home runs (.32), and RBI (1.16) per game.
 
In the last three weeks, in which she has been named Athlete of the Week for softball, Zeis is hitting .595 (22-37) with four doubles, six home runs, 12 runs scored, 19 runs batted in, 44 total bases, five walks with no strikeouts and is 2-2 on stolen base attempts.

Lindsey Stephens has been named G-MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season, after pitching her team to an important conference win over Urbana University.
 
Stephens pitched a seven-inning complete game one-hit shutout against Urbana. She struck out four batters in the 11-0 win.
 
On the week, Stephens pitched 14 innings and allowed just three earned runs, for a 1.50 earned run average, which ranked second in the conference over the last week. She also held her opponents to a league low .122 batting average in the 14 innings pitched. Her seven strikeouts ranked fourth.   
 
Stephens improved to 5-2 on the season and lowered her ERA under four (3.99) and threw her sixth complete game of the season. She leads her team in innings pitched (47.1). She is second on the roster with 27 strikeouts.
 
She also has had success at the plate, batting .348 on the season (23-66), which is sixth in the G-MAC. She also has 14 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, a home run, and 17 runs batted in, which all rank highly when averaged per game, as she has only 66 at-bats this season.
