INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Haley Kolmerten of Urbana University and Breanna Zeis of Trevecca Nazarene University have been named G-MAC Softball Pitching and Offensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Breanna Zeis helped guide the Trevecca to a 4-1 week, including a doubleheader sweep of Cedarville in the teams opening G-MAC action. Zeis hit .600 on the week, including two doubles, two home runs and drove in nine runs. She collected 17 total bases and had a slugging percentage of 1.133.
TNU swept a doubleheader from Bethel and Cedarville this past week, with the teams only loss coming on the road at UT-Martin. Against Bethel, Zeis went 2-2 in game one with a walk, two runs and a RBI. In game two, which TNU took 11-3, she was 3-4 with a run scored and five runs driven in. She also recorded a double, a home run, a walk and a stolen base in the game.
In game one of the team’s first-ever conference doubleheader, Zeis was 2-3 with an RBI. In game two, she was 2-2 with a double and a home run, with two runs scored and two driven in.
On the season, Zeis leads the conference with a .472 batting average (17-36). She is tied for the league lead with her two home runs and six doubles. She has 12 RBI, which is tied for third, but has the lowest amount of at-bats among the leaders.

Haley Kolmerten has been named G-MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, winning two games this past weekend, including the team’s first G-MAC conference victory over Ursuline College.
Kolmerten improved to a perfect 7-0 on the season with back-to-back complete game victories on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. On Friday, she carried a perfect game into the fifth inning against West Liberty University. She finished with 10 strikeouts, no walks and she scattered two hits in Urbana’s 2-1 victory.
Less than 24 hours later, Kolmerten tossed a three-hitter and struck out 12 in Urbana's G-MAC debut, a 6-1 win over Ursuline. She also helped herself out with the bat, finishing 2 for 3 at the plate with a double, a run and a pair of RBIs.
Kolmerten has gone the distance in each of her last six starts, striking out at least nine batters each time. She is league best 7-0 on the year with a conference-high 71 K's and just six walks through 42 innings of work. Her two wins this week give her 27 in her career, tying the all-time wins mark at Urbana. She also leads the league allowing a conference-low .153 batting average to opposing hitters (22-144).
