INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced Anna Mitchell of Trevecca Nazarene University has been named G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Anna Mitchell has been named the G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the first time this year, and is the fourth player from Trevecca to earn the weekly honor.
The Trojans had a perfect 2-0 week, including a big conference win over Urbana to claim the Regular-Season Title and the right to host the G-MAC Championship Tournament as the top seed.
In non-conference action to start the week, against Salem International, Mitchell scored a game-high 15 points on 6-9 shooting from the field and 3-3 from the free throw line off the bench in only 14 minutes of action. She added six rebounds in the dominating 87-33 victory.
Against Urbana, Mitchell scored 11 points and added a team-high nine rebounds off the bench. With 1:09 remaining the game and Urbana surging, Mitchell hit a critical jumper to give TNU its final two points of the game, a game they won by only three points.
On the 2-0 week for Trevecca, Mitchell averaged a team-high 13 points and 7.5 rebounds. She ranks in the top-20 in both scoring and rebounding in the conference. She is 20th with 7.4 points per game and 17th in rebounding with 4.3 rebounds per game. She also ranks 7th in the conference on the offensive boards with 2.3 per game. All stats she basically doubled this past week.
