INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Zimmy Nwogbo of Cedarville University has been named the G-MAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Zimmy Nwogbo has been named the G-MAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this year as an individual, and gives Cedarville its conference leading fifth AOTW this season.  
 
Nwogbo, who stepped up big in a critical conference 70-54 win over Trevecca Nazarene, scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, pushing the Yellow Jackets to 3-1 in the conference and holding the top spot, with Central State at 2-1 currently.
 
Earlier in the week, Nwogbo chipped in 11 points and a game-high seven rebounds in a balanced scoring blowout of Ohio Mid-Western, 102-54.

Nwogbo, who leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring, ranks third in the conference with 17.7 points per game. However, he leads the conference in shooting (65.6% from the floor - 139-212) and also in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game this season. As the conference’s leading rebounder, he ranks first in defensive rebounds and second in offensive rebounds.

Nwogbo’s name also shows up in a variety of other categories, ranking in the top-ten in Free Throw Percentage (7th - 69.5%), Steals (4th - 1.4/g), and Blocked Shots (3rd - 1.2/g).
