INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Walter Brock of Salem International University the Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after he led the conference in scoring and was second in rebounding last week.

Walter Brock has been named the G-MAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time after scoring a G-MAC high 30 points this past week, while also grabbing 10 rebounds, which was second in the conference last week.
 
In the team’s only game last week, against Glenville State, the Tigers dropped a close game 102-93 battle. Brock had a team-high 30 points on 7-13 shooting and was a perfect 15-15 from the free throw line. He added 10 rebounds, including four offensive, with three assists, two steals and one blocked shot in only 25 minutes of action.
 
With his scoring efforts last week, Brock has moved into a tie for fourth among the scoring leaders at 16.6 points per game. He also ranks among the best in the conference with 6.6 rebounds per game, ranking seventh. Despite his solid performance, he actually lowered his season shooting percentage which stands third in the G-MAC at 64.6%.
 
Brock leads his team in both scoring and rebounding, coming on a roster that combines to score 98.6 points per game as a team.
