INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Aleksandar Vasiljevic of Davis & Elkins College the Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after he led the conference in scoring and rebounding last week.

Aleksandar Vasiljevic has been named the G-MAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after posting a conference best in both scoring and rebounding last week.
 
In the team’s only game last week, the Senators dropped a close game against West Virginia State, 89-85. Vasiljevic had a game-high 25 points on 10-12 shooting and was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line. He also added a game-high 13 rebounds, with an assist and a steal in 38 minutes of action.
 
His single-game highs this week improved his overall averages on the season to 9.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.  He is third on the team in scoring, but leads the Senators in rebounds. His rebounding numbers rank him seventh in the conference, though he is tied for fifth in total rebounds with 67.  
 
After a solid shooting performance, Vasiljevic has moved himself into the top five in the conference in shooting, converting on 62.3% of his attempts (38-61).
