Summer Alford has been named G-MAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, and it is now the fifth time this season an individual from Kentucky Wesleyan has received the honor. This past week, Alford led her team to a pair of conference wins to stay just one game back of current top seed Cedarville in the race to earn that overall #1 seed.

Alford totaled 38 kills, which ranked fourth in the conference in kills per set over the last week, but ranked second overall, and a .338 attack percentage, which was third last week. She added 14 digs, two assists and four blocks to her week, which included a team-high 11 kills against Bellarmine in a loss, a team-high 13 kills against Ohio Valley and 14 kills in a five-set match against Ursuline - both G-MAC wins.

Alford currently leads the conference with 3.13 kills per set, totaling 272 kills in 87 total sets.
