INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Walter Brock of Salem International University the Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after scoring 25 points in win over Ohio Dominican.

Walter Brock has been named the G-MAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading his team to a win over Ohio Dominican this past week to remain undefeated through the first three weeks of the season.
 
Brock scored a team-high 25 points, and also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in a tight 80-77 win over ODU.  In the victory, the Tigers trailed by two points at 77-75 with 1:18 remaining when he grabbed a big offensive rebound and was fouled. He then converted both free throws to tie the game.

On the next possession for Ohio Dominican, Brock came up big again, blocking a lay-up attempt and grabbing the rebound with under a minute left. SIU would score the game-winning lay-up and add a free throw over the final minute to secure the win.
 
Brock added five assists and two blocked shots to his stat line in the win and now leads the team in scoring at 18.2 points per game and rebounds at 6.6 boards per game. He is fourth in the league in scoring, seventh in rebounding, and second in the G-MAC with a 69.8 shooting percentage.
