Jordanne Gambill has been named the G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading her team to a dominating win over St. Catherine this weekend.
The Panthers disposed of St Catherine 91-53 by scoring 40 or more points in each half. Gambill shot 5-9 from the field including a pair of three pointers. She shot the highest percentage in the game with a minimum of five attempts.
She led all scorers with 16 points for the game, despite playing only 19 minutes. Gambill helped out on the glass with five boards, while adding four assists, and two steals. Her 16 points, five field goals made, and three assists were all career highs for the junior.
Through two games she is averaging 13.5 per game with 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists. Gambill has only missed one free throw in 10 attempts this season.
