The 2013-14 season kicked off in September as the G-MAC welcomed three additional women’s golf programs to the conference. However, with an expanded field it was sophomore returner from Ursuline College, Eadaoin Cronin who earns the first G-MAC Women’s Golfer of the Month of the season.
Individually, Cronin improved upon her 89.1 stroke average as a freshman, shooting a six round average of 81.5 in September. In the teams first outing of the fall, Cronin guided the team to a fifth place finish out of a 16-team field, finishing in a tie for 12th (out of 83) with a 167 (81-86) that included a rain soaked second round.
The team then moved straight into the next tournament the very next day and Cronin posted her lowest score of the season with a 160 (79-81) to finish tied for seventh in a field of 87 golfers. Her team finished tied for third out of 17 teams.
After a break, she returned to battle a field of seven teams that included four of the five G-MAC women’s golf programs at the Ohio Valley Invitational. Cronin shot an 83-79 to finish in a tie for seventh, as the team finished second and shot the lowest score among the G-MAC teams.
