INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced Ciara Geiger of Urbana University has been named G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the fourth time.

For the fourth time this season, Ciara Geiger has been named the G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week. With the winter and semester break, this week’s winner covers a span of December 17, 2012 through January 6, 2013. Geiger guided her team to a 3-2 record over the break, leading the conference in scoring over that time period with 15.2 points per game, including two 22 point performances in a pair of victories.
In the team’s overtime win against Findlay, Geiger scored a team-high 22 points, including a game-tying three pointer with less than ten seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. She also recorded her first double-double of the season, pulling down 11 rebounds to go with five assists and four assists.
In the next game for the Blue Knights, she posted 22 points against Northwood in a win. She added nine rebounds. Her performance came on an impressive shooting night, going 8-12 from the field and 3-4 from beyond the arc.
In the five games she averaged 15.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and shot 40% from long range (12 for 30). She continues to lead the conference in scoring with a 18.7 points per game average, as well as steals with 2.6 per game.
