Kayla Jenerette has been named G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after leading her team to a conference victory over Central State this week.

The win improved Cedarville to 3-1 conference, keeping them just one game behind first place Trevecca halfway through the conference schedule in the race to host the post-season tournament.

In the team’s only game last week, Jenerette scored a game-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including 4-5 from long range. She added four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the team’s 70-62 win over CSU.

In the contest, the Yellow Jackets led by as many as 21 in the second half before Central State closed  to within seven with just over two minutes remaining. However, Jenerette pushed it back to double-digits and sealed the game with her fourth three-pointer of the game.

Jenerette ranks third in the conference in scoring with 15.1 points per game and is fourth in assists with 3.4 assists per game. She leads the conference with an 80.5 shooting percentage from the free throw line and is third in three-point shooting at 38.9%.
