For the first time this season, Anissa Ragland has been named G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week. It is the second week in a row a member of the TNU roster has claimed the honor. The Trojans have won eight in a row and 10 out of their last 11 games, on their way to a first place standing in the conference.
In the team’s only game last week, a dominating win over Ursuline, Ragland came off the bench to score a career-high 21 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and adding six blocked shots. She was 9-of-11 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
Ragland is now ranked third in the conference in blocked shots per game (1.5).
