INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Zimmy Nwogbo of Cedarville University has been named the G-MAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Zimmy Nwogbo has been named the G-MAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after scoring 52 points over the teams two games. In a win over Miami-Middletown, Nwogbo scored 23 points on an amazing 11-12 shooting.
He also pulled down eight rebounds and recorded four blocked shots and two assists. In the Yellow Jackets other game last week, an overtime loss to Notre Dame College, Nwogbo scored a team-high 29 points on 12-15 shooting. He added nine rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
Nwogbo scored his 52 points on a combined 23-27 shooting or 85%. He remains third in the conference in scoring with 18.2 points per game, while leading the G-MAC with 7.9 rebounds per game. His amazing week of shooting moved Nwogbo into first place in the conference in shooting, with a season average of 65.2%, more than 6% better than anyone in the conference.
