Jonathan Baskin

Junior – Forward – Mt. Juliet, Tennessee

Entering the 2012 season, Baskin had totaled four goals in 30 games. He also has two career assists for a total of 10 career points over his first two seasons with the Trojans. Baskin equaled or surpassed those numbers over a two-game span to start the 2012 season.

In TNU’s first game of the season, Baskin scored four times, guiding the team to a dominating 8-0 victory over Concord University as the team took part in the Muskingum Invitational. In game two of the Invitational, Baskin scored the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory over Ohio Valley University.

Over the two games, Baskin totaled five goals on 14 shots, quickly establishing the conference lead in scoring along with a majority of the conference records, which are being written and rewritten each weekend.

Rachael Smith
Ursuline College
Senior – Goalkeeper – North Royalton, Ohio

Coming off a record setting season at Ursuline, goalkeeper Rachael Smith picked up right where she left off, recording two wins over the weekend.

The pair of wins included both her 18th career shutout in a season opening 1-0 win at Shepherd, and her 10th overtime contest of her career (5-2-3 record in overtime) in a 2-1 overtime win at Pitt-Johnstown.

Still early in the season, Smith ranks first in wins, goals against average, minutes played, save percentage, and shutouts.
