Despite a difficult week and start to the season for the Ursuline Arrows volleyball program, Alex Leister has stepped up to lead her team’s attack, as well as the team’s defense.

Over the last week she recorded 38 kills, tying former Athlete of the Week Kristen Johnson for the conference lead despite the fact that Johnson played six more sets over the week.

Her 38 kills moved her into the overall conference lead with 135 kills on the season. She also ranks third in digs with 175, and has 13 service aces, which ties her for fifth in the conference. She leads her team in kills (135) and 14 service aces, and is second with 188 digs.
