Trevecca's run ends in Mid-East Regional Final

OAKLAND CITY, Ind. - The Trevecca volleyball team (20-15) saw its season likely come to an end today in the final of the NCCAA Mid-East Regional, losing 3-1 to Asbury University (42-7), 25-15, 17-25, 15-25, 16-25, the second loss in as many days for the Trojans against the Eagles.

With the win, the Eagles advance to the NCCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship, which will be held December 1-3 at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Fla. Trevecca has an outside shot at an atlarge bid to the NCCAA Championships.

The Trojans had advanced to Friday afternoon's final with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Campbellsville University (23-15). The Trojans prevailed over the Tigers 23-25, 27-25, 28-26, 19-25, 21-19. This was the fourth meeting this season between the two teams, with each club winning twice.
