PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - With the soccer team's Ohio Independent Championship Tournament runner-up performance last weekend, and the team's 14-3-1 season, it was no surprise that the maximum number of players were named to the All-OIC first and second teams.
Freshman midfielder Anna Feitl, freshman defender Brittany Prato, and junior goalkeeper Rachael Smith were all named to the All-OIC first team, while freshman forward Paige Rowan, sophomore midfielder Amanda Levaskevich, and senior defender Leah Sweet were selected to the All-OIC second team.
Each of the teams was allowed to nomination six players for the post-season awards, Ursuline was the only program to have all six selected. OIC tournament champion Notre Dame did have four first-team selections, but only one second team, while Walsh also had five total selections. Cedarville and Malone each had four, and Urbana had three - all second team selections.
Molly Martin of Walsh was named Player of the Year, while Notre Dame head coach Mike Shiels was named Coach of the Year.
