Trevecca's France Named NCCAA Player of the Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University's Michael France has been selected as the 2012 NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Division l Men's Basketball Player of the Year. France was also selected to the 2012 NCCAA Division l Men's Basketball All-America team.

France, a six-foot-two senior wing from Shelbyville, Tenn., scored 2,019 points in his career, good for fifth all-time in Trevecca basketball history.

The product of Shelbyville Central High School averaged 20.3 points per game this season and added in 4.6 rebounds, two assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

In his career, France totaled 502 rebounds, 238 assists, 208 steals, and made 259 three-pointers.

France eclipsed the 40-point mark twice in his career, including a career-high 43 against Martin Methodist as a junior and 41 this season against Lyon.
