G-MAC HIGHLIGHTS: Waller Academic All-American

CEDARVILLE, Ohio (courtesy of @CUYellowJackets) - Cedarville University junior Timmy Waller has been voted to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Men's Soccer Third Team.

Waller is the second Cedarville men's soccer player to be so honored joining Matt Niemiec, who was a 2010 third team recipient. The Academic All-America® program is administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Waller, a forward from Ifrane, North Africa, carries a 3.98 cumulative grade point average as an athletic training major. He was the leading scoring for the 17-4-1 Yellow Jackets this season with four goals and five assists for 13 points.

The Academic All-America® Division II men's soccer team includes three teams of 11 players each. Waller was one of nine forwards selected to the elite group and was one of just five student-athletes overall with a GPA of 3.98 or higher.
