Tajha Walker helped guide Central State to a 2-1 week, improving the Marauders to 6-1 overall. Even though CSU suffered its first loss of the season against West Virginia Tech, Walker had an impressive week, including scoring a season-high 18 points in the teams three point loss to Tech.
In the two wins, Walker scored a game-high 16 points against Salem International, and 13 points against LeMoyne Owen College. Walker led the team in rebounding in all three contests, totaling 32 rebounds.
Despite leading the team in scoring (47 points) and rebounds in the three games, Walkers effort came off the bench in each contest. On the season, Walker leads the team with 12.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, but has started only twice in seven contests.
In the conference, Walker ranks fourth in scoring and second in rebounding. She is also second in shooting percentage, converting on 49.3 percent of her shots.
