INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that Armond Battle of Urbana University has been named this weeks Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Armond Battle guided the Blue Knights to a 2-1 record last week, including a pair of wins over the weekend as Urbana improved to 5-4 overall. Battle’s best performance came in the team’s only loss last week, as he scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds against undefeated Edinboro.
 
In the three games, he averaged 27 points, raising his average to 19.9 points a game, which ranks second and only 0.01 points behind the conference leader. In wins over Salem International and Washington Adventist, Battle scored 24 and 23 points respectively, while grabbing a combined 11 rebounds.
 
Battle has led the Blue Knights in scoring in seve-straight games and has scored 23 or more points in each of the last four games, helping Urbana to a 3-1 record in those contests and getting the team above .500 on the season. He ranks in the top ten in the conference in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, blocked shots, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and three-point shooting percentage.
