INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced Ciara Geiger of Urbana University has been named G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time.

Ciara Geiger faced a difficult week of action, as the Blue Knights took on NCAA Division I opponent Wright State University and then #7 (NAIA) St. Francis University, both on the road. Depsite the team going 0-2 in the two games, Geiger scored 40 points, on 11 three-pointers, while totaling 10 rebounds and six assists.
 
In the team’s loss at St. Francis, Geiger scored a season-high and tied her career-high with 31 points. She also tied a team record, as she made nine three-pointers on 13 attempts. Her nine buckets from beyond the arch rank record in the NCAA (Division II) for made three-pointers in a game this season.
 
With 40 points on the week, Geiger remains the league’s top scorer with 20.3 points per game and 223 points total, 54 more points than the second leading scorer. She also leads the G-MAC in steals with 30 (2.7 per game).
