Rogers, Wagner are NCCAA All-Americans

CEDARVILLE, Ohio (courtesy of @CUYellowJackets) - Cedarville's Stephanie Rogers and Hannah Wagner have landed spots on the 2012 NCCAA Volleyball All-America Second Team.

The frontline duo was instrumental in leading the Lady Jackets to a 32-6 record and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship. A total of 28 players were selected to the NCCAA's first and second teams.

Rogers, a 5-foot-11 middle hitter from Carmel, Ind., is a repeat selection to the second team. She averaged 2.76 kills and 0.75 blocks per set.

Wagner, a 6-2 outside hitter from Claremont, Calif., averaged a team-high 3.0 kills to go along with 0.73 blocks.

This marks the 15th consecutive year that CU has had at least one NCCAA All-American in volleyball.

Kelsey Christiansen and Kara Yutzy were both recognized as NCCAA Scholar-Athletes. The list includes juniors and seniors, who maintain a minimum 3.40 cumulative grade point average.
