Laura Campbell carried Ursuline to its first two wins of the season with a perfect 2-0 week, with wins over Carlow and future G-MAC conference opponent Ohio Valley. Against OVU, Campbell hit 10 three-pointers and finished with a school-record 38 points. She also chipped in nine rebounds.

In the teams win over Carlow, Campbell posted 28 points and seven rebounds. On the week, she played all 80 minutes, averaging 33 points and eight rebounds. Even more impressive was the fact she shot almost 59% (20-34) from the field, and 69.6% (16-23) from three-point territory. On the defensive end, Campbell led the squad with five steals and two blocks.

With her 66 point week, Campbell jumped her scoring average almost five points, and now ranks second in the conference with an average of 19.4 points per game, just 0.9 points per game behind conference leader and two-time AOTW Ciara Geiger (Urbana). Campbell does top Geiger in long-range shooting, making 38 total three-pointers on the season to lead the conference, ahead of Geiger’s 20.
