INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has released its Men's and Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week: Dillon King (Cedarville) and Abby Pearson (Urbana) each guided their teams to perfect 2-0 weeks.

Junior - Midfielder
Dillon King guided the Yellow Jackets to a perfect 2-0 record on the week, highlighted by a 2-1 overtime victory over Shepherd in the seventh annual Dave Jones Memorial Classic.
King, who has started all 12 games on the season, scored the game-winning overtime goal in the 95th minute. On the play, King received a perfect tremendous cross on a set-piece in which he deflected toward the net. The ball hit off the cross bar directly back at King, who then headed the ball back into the net for the game winner.
In the team’s second game of the week, a 5-0 homecoming win over future G-MAC foe Georgetown College, King provided an assist on the final goal of the contest. King’s Yellow Jackets improve to 9-1-1 and are currently ranked #10 in the Great Lakes Region.

Abby Pearson
Urbana University - Senior - Midfielder
Abby Pearson carried the Blue Knights to a perfect 2-0 week with three goals and two assists, extending her point streak to six games in which the team is 5-1-0.
In the team’s first game of the week, a 4-0 win over West Liberty, Pearson assisted on the game’s first two goals and then scored the final two goals of the game. She followed up the six point performance with a game-winning goal in the 78th minute of the team’s 3-1 victory over Oakland City to help the team move above .500 at 6-5 after starting the season 0-4.
In her last six games, Pearson has totaled four goals and six assists, and now leads the team with five goals, six assists, and 16 points on the season.
