Wason guided the Blue Knights to a 2-1 week, falling only to #24 Saginaw Valley State. With the G-MAC regular-season title on the line against Cedarville, Wason scored the game-winner on a PK in the 52nd minute to clinch the title, an undefeated regular season conference record, and the #1 seed for Urbana heading into the G-MAC Championship Tournament.
It was his fourth game-winner of the season, tying his own school record for most game-winning goals in a single season. It was also his eighth career game-winner, which is also a UU school record. Wason also scored twice in the first 12 minutes of a 3-1 win over in-region rival Ashland University on Friday night and leads the team and G-MAC in goals (11) and points (26).
